Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Nelson! I’ve just been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, so I’m all set for my next adventure. I’m still feeling a little shy and unsure here at the shelter, and I haven’t been the most outgoing guy yet—but I may really blossom once I have time to settle into a quiet, patient home. I’d do best with someone who understands that I like to take things at my own pace. With understanding and space, I could become a loyal companion. I might also be a great barn cat or mouser for someone looking for a hardworking helper!

Animals have to be spayed or neutered prior to leaving the shelter. This is covered completely by the adoption fee if the adopter uses one of our local approved vets. If the adopter wants to have the spay/neuter done by a different vet, AWOL will pay a portion of the cost. All animals leaving prior to being spayed/neutered require a deposit that will be returned to the adopter after proof of spay/neuter.
