Iris is a beautiful 4-year-old domestic short hair with a stunning calico coat highlighted by bright white markings that make her colors truly pop. She was lovingly surrendered to the Ellensburg shelter when her previous family could no longer afford to care for a cat.
Since arriving, Iris has experienced some understandable stress with all the changes. To help her shine, she was moved to our Yakima adoption facility where she can enjoy more space and positive interactions with staff and visitors.
And we’re happy to share — she’s been blossoming! Iris has shown herself to be affectionate with staff and welcoming of gentle pets. She enjoys attention, but on her own terms. She’ll thrive with an adopter who respects her independence and allows her to come to them when she’s ready for affection.
