My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Freya

Freya came to us from another rescue in hopes of finding the forever home she truly deserves. Born 1-2-2021, this beautiful girl is spayed, fully vetted, and more than ready to start her next chapter.

Freya is an affectionate sweetheart who loves everyone she meets. She enjoys attention, pets, and being near her people. She does well with children and would make a wonderful family companion. While she adores humans, Freya has made it clear that she doesn’t care for other cats here at the shelter, so she would do best as the only feline in the home where she can be showered with all the love and attention she deserves.

If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will happily soak up affection and give it right back, Freya may be your perfect match.

Please apply online before stopping by. Visit eastshoreha.org and click on the Pet Application Form. Once your application is processed and approved, head in during our walk-in cat viewing hours:

Mondays: 12pm–5pm
Fridays: 12pm–6pm

No appointment is necessary for viewing. However, to adopt the same day, we do require an approved application on file — so don’t wait!

Freya is ready to leave shelter life behind and be someone’s cherished girl — could that be you?

Additional adoption info

Before You Adopt: Please consider these factors before filling out an application:

1. Animals are expensive to care for. They require food, shelter, toys, grooming, and veterinary health and dental care.

2. Animals require attention. You have to clean up after their messes, protect them from anything that might harm them, and make sure they get adequate play time and exercise. Some require training, which takes patience, love, and commitment.

Adopting a Friend: Adopter will fill out an application to start the adoption process. We don't adopt on a first come, first served basis, but instead adopt based on what we feel is in the animal's best interest. We DO NOT ship animals.

Adoption Requirements:

1. Have verifiable identification

2. Be at least 18 years of age

3. If renting, have landlords consent to bring a pet to your home

4. All adopted pets must be spayed or neutered

5. All pets must leave the shelter on a collar and leash, or in a pet carrier

6. Agree to all terms of the adoption contract; ESHA reserves the right to deny any application
