Meet Kitty & Opalite! Of course named after Life of a Showgirl by Taylor Swift being that they showed up on our porch on the album`s release day about 4 weeks after Kitty gave birth.
Kitty is the best mommy! She and her litter of two were prancing around outside in the cold when we noticed they had been living under our porch. Kitty took such good care of them to keep them safe until she trusted us enough to come inside. While Opal’s sister has been separated due to some health complications, Opal and Kitty have formed a bond unlike anything I’ve seen. They play, cuddle, eat together! Complete besties.
About them: - Opal is a kitten, gentle and sweet but still getting used to people and getting picked up. Opal is a little codependent on Kitty and loves to be anywhere she is and is a little more hesitant with humans. She takes a little while to come around but when she does, she loves sitting near you, playing with wand toys, giving hand kisses, and not being picked up. We are positive that with a patient, kind human she will turn out to be a lover just like her mom! She has been tested negative for FIV and Feline Leukemia, been microchipped, dewormed, and full vaccinated. Not yet spayed yet but in the process of getting an appointment.
- Kitty is the mom cat. Extremely loving and people-oriented. Although shy at first, she adores humans and is the friendliest, sweetest companion once she gets to know you. She is one of the cuddliest kitties you’ll ever meet! She loves to fall asleep on top of your lap, sitting at your desk while working, LOVES pets and face kisses. She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and fully vaccinated. Kitty is FIV+.
Additional info: Unsure of how they are around dogs— will update with this ASAP! I think they would be okay with other cats and kids, but not fully sure.
Kitty and Opal are a lovely bonded mom/daughter pair. The mom cat is FIV+ while her daughter has tested negative.
Both are healthy and happy! Both litter box trained. They would thrive in a calm, loving home!
Churu treats, pom pom balls, and curling up together to nap are their favorite things!
They’re both talkative and love to chirp at you!

Our adoption fees for cats includes Feluk/FIV combo test, current vaccines, spay/neuter & microchip. Our adoption fees for dogs includes heartworm test, current vaccines, spay/neuter & microchip. Spay/neuter deposit fees apply on any animals too young to be altered at the time of adoption, and the deposit is returned upon proof of spay/neuter.
We adopt to homes within a 2 hour driving range of MetroDetroit.
