My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Alysa Liu! While she may not be as talented as her namesake, Alysa makes up for talent with sheer determination. She prefers her adoration constantly with short breaks to explore and practice her spins! Alysa may be a little smaller than most adult cats but she far outweighs them with her cute face and rambunctious attitude!

Some of Alysa's Favorite Things Include: Adoration, Tube Treats, Lincoln Park, Pets, Tall Perches, Treats, Adoration, Bedazzling, Admiration

Kids: Alysa has loved everyone she’s met so far but we still advise patience & supervision with children under 10.

Cats: Alysa seems to enjoy feline friends! We still recommend patience & supervision during introductions, following a proper acclimation period.

Dogs: Alysa has never met a dog before so we aren't sure how she'd do. We recommend caution and patience during introductions for the best chance of success.

Alysa is spayed, microchipped, and fully up-to-date on vaccines & preventions!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoptions are processed same day! All we ask is for an adoption questionnaire and survey to be completed as well as a copy of the adopter's state ID in order to assure they are at least 18 years old.

Each animal has a fee which must be paid at the time of adoption and there is a small amount of paper to be completed as well.

We ask that adopted animals safely leave the shelter either in a carrier or in a leash and collar.

All adoptable animals have been spayed/neutered, received, age appropriate vaccinations, and a microchip! Cats have been tested for FIV and FeLV. Dogs have been tested for heartworm as well as kept current on flea and heartworm prevention.

More about this shelter

The Wood County Humane Society was originally founded in 1904, and has been committed to the well-being of many different species of domesticated animals that require our help. In 1988, the Minniebelle Conley Shelter was established through the generous legacy of the Minniebelle Conley Trust, and our current location was built to provide these services, and has continually been doing so since. We are a private, non-profit, limited admission, 501(c) (3) organization and rely on the generous contributions and donations of our members and residents of Wood County. We do not receive any funding from the ASPCA or the Humane Society of the United States for our daily operations.
