Atlas is a 1-year-old neutered male who is litter box trained and full of quiet, tender love. 💙
He’s affectionate and talkative in his own soft way, but he’s not as confident — especially when he’s away from his big brother, Stubbs. The shelter has been a hard adjustment for him, and you can see that he’s just trying to find his footing.
💕 Atlas’ Personality:
Gentle and calm
Shy, especially with new adults
Prefers quiet environments
Avoids kids
Friendly and tolerant of other cats (but truly loves his brother Stubbs)
Has not been exposed to dogs
Atlas is a head-butter — the sweet kind who presses his forehead into you and sticks close for comfort. He likes to stay near his person once he feels safe. While he doesn’t always seek to be picked up, he doesn’t mind it sometimes when he trusts you.
Here at the shelter his energy level is low, and he tends to climb up high — likely because he feels safer observing from above while he adjusts.
🐾 The Heart of Atlas
Atlas is incredibly loving, but this environment has been overwhelming for him. In a calm home, he may absolutely blossom back into his more relaxed self — or he may just need a little extra time and patience to feel secure. Either way, he’s worth it.
If you’re looking for a quiet companion who bonds deeply and stays close, Atlas may be your gentle shadow. And if you happen to have room for two, his bond with Stubbs is something truly special. 💙
Atlas's adoption fee is $75, he is neutered, vaccinated, flea & tick treated and microchipped.
