Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Stumpy had a rough start in life and is now looking for a home. She was found outside at approximately 4-5 months old with half a tail. We assume it was an injury. She doesn’t let the half tail slow her down. She had surgery on the tail in Feb and it’s now healed, just waiting for her fur to grow back. It’s quite cute when she wags her new little tail. Little Stumpy is also FIV+. Other than those two things, she is a happy healthy young girl. She has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.
Likes:
Toys - She LOVES toys. She loves throwing cat toys in the air and chasing them around the room. She enjoys stuffed toys as well as the plastic balls that skitter around. She has been know to tear into the toys and has gotten the stuffing out. Stumpy does like to chew on cords and occasionally uses non toys (laptop) as a toy.
Watching nature TV - Stumpy enjoys looking out the window and watching birds and squirrels. She started chirping at them and I am sure she would love to try to catch one.
Food - She eats kibble like a champ, but does like to take the food out of the dish and sometimes play with it. Not the cleanest eater. She is also a fan of the water dish. Not just for drinking but putting her toys in it. I recommend a heavy dish that she can’t bat around.
Laps - Once she is comfortable, she loves to sit on laps and purr. She does uppies where she reaches her paws up towards your face to hug you and ask to be picked up.
Brushing - Her fur is semi long and she seems to enjoy being brushed.
Chatty - Stumpy has a baby meow but loves to chat. She gets very excited and runs over to my husband meowing and rolling around in happiness. When happy, she is a purr monster, with some happy drool at times.
Stumpy seems very interested in other cats but needs to learn manners and how to behave around them. She’s overly excited and maybe thinks they are a toy (even cats bigger than her). She also likes to nibble on feet (human). She will stop when you tell her no, but she is a bit mouthy.
She has been to the vet multiple times and has been well behaved there. I can’t say she enjoys the carrier but will let me put her in it and is quiet in the car. Stumpy lets me clip her claws, usually a paw at a time. Little Stumpy is looking for a lap to curl up in and a home to run around in.

More about this rescue
Our mission is to assist the community to reduce feline overpopulation. We accomplish this mission with two programs.
Our adoption program called Rescue and Re-Home places cats and kittens for adoption into loving homes.
Our feral cat program called Race to Reduce Litters utilizes TNR (Trap, Neuter and Return) to help control feral cat breeding and overpopulation. Cats are humanely trapped, sterilized and vaccinated against rabies and are returned to their original location where human caregivers provide food. Kittens from feral colonies are tamed and entered into our adoption program.
