My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mysti: Our Majestic Salt and Pepper Queen!

Mysti is a beautiful, majestic floof who is ready to bring a touch of elegance and a whole lot of heart to your home. As a dignified lady with a reserved personality at first, she is truly a love bug once she settles in. At 13 years young, Mysti is a seasoned pro at life and is looking for a calm, cozy spot to enjoy some quality cuddling on the couch.

This sweet senior is the most loyal and loving companion you could ask for. She is fully vetted and absolutely ready to start her next chapter with you. Don’t miss your chance to bring this majestic beauty home!

More about this rescue

We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to finding homes for pets in rural Oklahoma animal shelters through adoption events and fundraisers. We're focused on the Newcastle animal shelter since that's where we're based, but we also pull from other rural shelters when we can. We are a foster-based program, meaning that all of our dogs live in private foster homes NOT a facility. This gives them better socialization skills, which makes them a more well-adjusted pet. Also, the foster parent is able to learn about the pet’s personality, likes, and dislikes so that he can be better matched to the right forever home. We always need great foster families, so if you're interested in learning more on becoming one please visit our website to apply: www.shelterfriends.org
