My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

CHINOOK – 6 Months Old – Tuxedo Charm & Gentle Soul

Chinook is a sweet tuxedo boy with the cutest little details — two white paws (one with a bit more “sock” than the other!) and a tiny dibdab of white on his lip that looks like he dipped into milk and forgot to wipe it off.

At just 6 months old, he’s still very much a kitten — playful, curious, and full of gentle affection. Chinook was born on one of the reservations we work with and has been lovingly prepared for his forever home.

He is:

* Neutered

* Vaccinated

* Dewormed

* Tested

* Microchipped

Chinook has a brother and sister as well, so he’s used to feline companionship. He would likely do beautifully with another friendly cat.

We are seeking a forever home in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Rio Rancho, Los Alamos, or White Rock to ensure the smoothest transition.

If you feel drawn to this handsome tuxedo boy, please email desertpawsnm@gmail.com to check availability.

Let’s find Chinook the safe, loving home he deserves.

More about this rescue

We work with the animals at five local Indian tribes (pueblos). We have a spay/neuter called, Door2Door, we assist animals with medical emergencies, prevention, education. We rehab and re-home the unwanted, abandoned, and neglected. At the time of adoption, we bring the pet to your home to make sure all family members including all fur babies get along and all are onboard and committed to the pet. We have an adoption process and we like to stay in touch with the families for the life of the pet.
