Cody is a handsome grey and white gentleman with the sweetest soul you could hope to meet. This loving boy was found outside an apartment, and sadly it was discovered that his previous owner no longer wanted him. Originally adopted in 2019, Cody hasn’t let life’s bumps dull his gentle spirit — he remains an absolute sweetheart who just wants a safe, loving home.
Cody is FIV positive, but don’t let that worry you — he is currently in great health, and his bloodwork reflects a happy, healthy kitty. With proper care, FIV+ cats can live long, full lives.
He would do best in a calm household and will benefit from slow, thoughtful introductions to other cats. Once he feels safe, Cody’s affectionate nature truly shines.

Welcome to Love Me True Rescue. This rescue began out of my overwhelming love of animals. From injured birds to stray dogs, growing up I always felt compelled to save animals in need. While living up north, I had the opportunity to volunteer at a local shelter. I met many sweet animals who ended up being euthanized for lack of space or for being deemed "unadoptable". One dog in particular who broke my heart, was Penny. She was a boxer mix and one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met. After being returned to the shelter twice for fear aggression she was put to sleep. I wasn't able to save her life, but I knew this was my calling, and I vowed to save others like my Penny. By the grace of God (and wonderful donors and volunteers) I have been able to start this rescue, knowing I have been equipped to help these homeless and unwanted cats. This rescue's mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and find safe forever homes for kittens and cats who would be euthanized or abandoned. I thank you for your support and love. This is for you, Penny!
