My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Sweet Pea — a fluffy brown tabby with soft, longer fur, adorable ear fluff, and bright, curious eyes. I have pretty white markings on my face and front legs that make me extra special.
I was born in a home and grew up around people, so being here at the adoption center feels a little overwhelming at first. I can be a bit shy when I’m getting to know new places and new faces, but I just need a little time and patience to feel safe.
Once I warm up, my true personality blossoms. I love attention and gentle pets, and I’ll happily soak up all the affection you’re willing to give. When I’m feeling comfortable, I enjoy playtime too — toys, little games, and fun moments together are some of my favorite things.
I’ve done well with older kids who understand that I need a gentle approach at first. I’ve also gotten along nicely with other cats and even a small dog. I like having company and being part of the household, even if I start out observing from a cozy, safe spot.
I may take a little time to come out of my shell, but once I do, I’ll be your soft, fluffy shadow — ready for play, cuddles, and lots of love.
Could I be your Sweet Pea? 🐾

Our fees include a full medical exam by a veterinarian. This includes a Feline Leukemia and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) test for cats, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, deworming and Spay/Neuter. Dogs receive a Heartworm Check, Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, Canine Flu Vaccine, deworming, and Kennel Cough preventative. Our modest adoption fees do not cover the procedures and vet work that we provide the animals. We fundraise to make up the difference. Any ongoing medical needs that C.A.R.E. is aware of are explained fully, (including daily medicine costs), to the potential adopter, and become the responsibility of the adopter.
