Meet Wisp (aka Crispy Wipsy, Queen of the Porch Glow-Up)!
Wisp didn’t exactly arrive in style — she was left on our front porch covered in fleas and missing most of her fabulous fur. But like any true icon, she staged a dramatic comeback. With treatment, TLC, and a whole lot of main-character energy, she has risen, restored, and is now ready to rule her forever home.
Wisp is packed with personality and absolutely knows what she wants. She enjoys head rubs… until she doesn’t. And don’t worry — she’ll let you know when the spa session is over. Boundaries? She invented them.
She’s independent, opinionated, and has plenty to say about everything. Looking for a quiet, shy wallflower? Keep scrolling. Looking for a confident queen who will supervise your household, offer commentary, and occasionally bless you with affection? Step right up.
She tolerates other cats (peasants, if you will), but would likely thrive as the leading lady of her own kingdom. We’re not sure how she feels about dogs — interviews are pending.

Spay/neuter + rabies is included in our adoption fee, but may not be completed by time of adoption due to our limited access to veterinary appointments. We have local partners listed in your adoption contract that you can schedule an appointment with (and are paid by us) or we will reimburse for up to $100 for non-network veterinarians. Microchip, up-to-date vaccinations, flea treatment and dewormer are included.

Additionally, many of our dogs may be located off-site in foster homes and an appointment will be required to meet those pets. We do require a completed application prior to meeting pets in foster homes to preserve the valuable time of our foster families.

PAWS finds new families for stray dogs and cats as well as owner surrendered pets. We also accept animals brought to us by concerned citizens and local animal control agencies and do our best to find them suitable homes. Our mission is to find homes and offer direct care for as many of these loveable pets as possible. PAWS attempts to prevent the birth of unwanted animals through education and spay/neuter programs.

All of the animals we adopt out are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and treated for fleas. Sometimes, the animals we rescue require additional veterinary care.
