PLEASE DO NOT ASK ABOUT AVAILABILITY OR EMAIL THROUGH PETFINDER or ADOPT-A-PET - WE CANNOT RESPOND - READ THE PROCESS BELOW.
If you're interested in any of our wonderful dogs, you must FIRST fill out an Adoption Application at our website listed below. Once we receive it, we'll forward it to the foster family for follow up. We are 100% foster based, so we don't have a facility. Review the process FAQ at our website.
Adoption applications can be found here: http://labrescuefresno.org/available-labs/adoption-application/
Adoption Fees:
Special consideration may be granted for dogs with medical needs or bonded pairs.
Rebel – Black Male, 1.5 years, 50 lbs
Have you ever met a guy who just needed a little guidance to become his best self? Well, meet Rebel.
Rebel is a strikingly handsome 1-1/2 year old black Labrador Retriever with a heart as big as his paws. He’s incredibly sweet, kind, and eager to please — truly the type of dog who wins everyone over in minutes.
Like many young labs, Rebek once thought the world was his territory. After finding himself on the brink of dehydration due to marking behavior, our team at Lab Rescue stepped in to help. A quick neuter and some TLC have made a world of difference! His urination issues are now manageable, and he’s well on his way to being a wonderful, well-adjusted companion.
Here’s what we love about Rebel:
Cat-friendly
Would do well with other pets or as a solo dog
Walks nicely on a leash
Very smart — learned “sit” in minutes!
Likely loves water (we’ll test that when the weather cooperates!)
Shows interest in tennis balls — though his foster sister tends to hog the spotlight
We’re continuing to work on house-training, keeping in mind his recent urination challenges. With a little monitoring, consistency, and guidance, Rebel will thrive in a loving home.
He’s young, eager, and ready for his fresh start. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate lab who just needed a second chance to shine, Rebel might be your perfect match. Visit Lab Rescue of Fresno and complete an adoption application at www.labrescuefresno.org.
