My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gnocchi:

Gnocchi is a charming calico with a blossoming personality and a whole lot of love to give. Though once shy, she has really come into her own-these days she's outgoing, expressive, and not shy about asking for attention. She's especially vocal when she's excited to see you, and she happily jumps into head‑pets like it's her favorite part of the day.

Gnocchi is looking for a home that appreciates a friendly, talkative cat who still enjoys a calm, predictable environment. With people she trusts, she warms up quickly and shows her sweet, affectionate nature with enthusiasm. Her confidence continues to grow, and she's ready to share that with a family who will enjoy her cheerful personality and gentle spirit.

If you love a cat who communicates, seeks connection, and has a soft, loving heart, Gnocchi might be the perfect fit. She's a delightful girl who's ready to shine even brighter in a home of her own.

Walk-ins are prioritized.

We are open Tuesday - Saturday 12 pm -4 pm (except for Stat Holidays).

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
