2.5 years ago she was bitten by another dog and has been more skittish since. She thrives in calm, predictable environments.
With a baby on the way and a toddler who is still learning appropriate touch, Emmie has nipped when she feels overwhelmed. Because of this, she is not a fit for homes with young children but may do well with calm older kids (middle/high school age).
She does bark to alert at doors or nighttime movement.
