My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Hank, also known as Hank the Tank.

I showed up in Winslow, and because I’m a big tomcat who wasn’t comfortable being petted at first, everyone assumed I was feral. One day, I came back with a devastating injury to my back leg - I was likely hit by a car and had a severe, life-threatening infection.

I was rushed to Coconino Humane Association just in time. They couldn’t save my leg, but they saved my life. And they discovered something important: I’m not feral at all - I’m a very friendly guy who loves head scratches. That makes my story a little sadder, because it means I likely had a home once.

Despite everything, I use a regular litterbox and love my soft beds. I’ve had a hard road, and now I’m just looking for a safe, cozy home where I can retire as a beloved indoor-only kitty.
