My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Monkey is a handsome male tabby with the classic tiger stripes and the kind of expressive eyes that seem to say, “So… is that snack for me?” True to his name, he’s equal parts playful acrobat and laid-back cuddle buddy. One minute he’s batting around his favorite toy like it’s an Olympic sport, and the next he’s stretched out in a sunny spot, supervising the household like the benevolent ruler he is.
This sweet boy is curious, clever, and full of personality. He loves interactive play, cozy blankets, and being where his people are. Monkey would thrive in a home where he gets plenty of attention, enrichment, and maybe even a tall cat tree to climb (because every Monkey needs a jungle gym!).
He’s the perfect mix of fun and affection — independent enough to entertain himself, but always happy to curl up beside you after a long day. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with charm, stripes, and a whole lot of heart, Monkey is ready to swing into your life.
Could Monkey be the missing piece in your family? 🧡

Additional adoption info

For our dogs, we are a foster-based organization that primarily helps our county government-operated shelter with surrender diversion, i.e. owners rehoming pets, help with behavior issues, etc. In September 2023 we opened a cat adoption center that supports the effort to keep more cats out of the shelter.
