Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Smoke is a sweet, talkative boy who clearly enjoys connecting with his people. He readily comes forward for attention, leaning into pets, purring, and softly chatting to keep the interaction going. He has a playful side too and enjoys wand toy time, happily engaging when invited. Smoke prefers to keep all four paws on the ground and is most comfortable with gentle, cat-led affection. In his previous home, Smoke found living with another cat a bit stressful and may do best as the only cat or with very slow, thoughtful introductions.
Smoke would be a wonderful match for someone looking for an affectionate, interactive companion who enjoys conversation and connection.

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.
Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.
Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.
Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.
Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.
Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
