Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tinker is a one-year-old petite cuddlebug looking for her forever home! This affectionate girl loves nothing more than snuggling with her people in bed each night, and when she is not curled up close, she is busy being delightfully goofy with her favorite toys. She is very food motivated and gets so excited at mealtime that she may even hop right into the food bin to investigate. Tinker also has a fondness for chewing on cardboard boxes, so any delivery day is a special occasion if you are willing to share the box with her. Her silly antics provide endless entertainment and plenty of laughs.
Tinker is incredibly sweet and sometimes shows her affection with gentle love nibbles. She enjoys spending her day playing with toys or wrestling with other cats, and she is known to chirp a cheerful hello when she sees her people. Her energy level is playful but not overwhelming, making her a wonderful balance of fun and relaxation.
She currently lives in a home with two adults and nine other cats. Most of her time is spent in the guest bedroom with one other foster cat, along with supervised time exploring the rest of the house and playing with the other foster kittens.
Because Tinker is FeLV+, she cannot live with another cat unless it is also FeLV+. FeLV is not contagious to humans or dogs but can be transferred to other cats. Annual vet visits, regular immunizations, and your love will help Tinker maintain a normal, healthy, and happy life. You can read more about FeLV here: https://tinyurl.com/ycxhwcmu
Tinker does well with other playful FeLV positive cats, although she can occasionally get a bit enthusiastic during play. Her ideal home would include a playful FeLV positive companion, but she would also be perfectly happy as a solo kitty soaking up all the love and attention for herself.
If you are looking for a sweet, entertaining companion who will chirp hello and keep you smiling, Tinker would love to meet you! - - - - - - - - - - - - - There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimates.
Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.
All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.

Pet Haven is a foster-based rescue. Our animals live with foster families until they are placed in permanent homes and their foster families get to know the dogs and cats learning important information about the animals. For example, the foster family will know if the dog or cat is good with other animals or children, and will have a good idea of what kind of training, attention, and special needs the pet may require. This makes our foster families great resources for potential adopters!

Phoenix Fund for Special Needs: Providing veterinary care for animals in need of healing
What We Do
We help dogs and cats find homes with loving families through foster-based care. Every dog and cat lives with a foster family until they find their forever families. We provide all of their basic needs including proper food, veterinary care, behavior training, and supplies.
Through in-home fostering, we learn about each animal’s temperament, personality, likes/dislikes, and any medical needs. With this first-hand information, we can then find the right family for each dog and cat.
Our volunteers also educate the public on responsible companion animal care and represent respect for animals at all times. Whether we’re working with prospective new families, meeting people at public events, or socializing with friends and family, we encourage others to view and treat their pets as members of the family. We are their guardians, and they depend on us for companionship and care.
We spay/neuter prior to adoption.
We microchip all our Pet Haven Pets and remain as a secondary contact.
We make sure all pets are up to date on required vaccinations
We test for Heartworm and Lymes in all our dogs and are transparent in the results and treament
We test for FeLV/FIV and are transparent in the results. We believe that cats who test positive still deserve a chance at a quality home.
We do not euthanize animals unless they have untreatable health or behavioral conditions that deny them an acceptable quality of life or makes them a serious threat to people, other animals, or themselves.
How We Operate
We rely on adoption fees, tax-deductible donations, grants, and special events to keep our rescue operating. Our staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers have provided the passion and commitment to keep Pet Haven a safe haven for animals for almost 70 years.
We are committed to preventing pet homelessness through the SNIP Grant. Since 2005, we have granted more than $240,000 to organizations in Minnesota to support spay/neuter initiatives.
