If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Winston is a sweet, scruffy little 2 legged dog who is about 1 year old. I’ve only had him for a few months, so I’m unsure of his history before that, but he has been a loving companion during his time with me.
He is shy at first, but once he’s comfortable he shows his fun, energetic personality. Winston has three legs, but it absolutely doesn’t slow him down — he runs, plays, and explores just like any other dog.
Winston has met a few other dogs and has done well with them. He has also met a few cats and does fine (though they don’t always appreciate him trying to play!). However, he can be leash reactive and may bark at other dogs (sometimes people) on walks, if too close. slow introductions and continued training will be helpful. Off leash he seems to be completely fine though. Because he is small, he is still very manageable on leash.
He is kennel trained and about 80–90% potty trained.
