My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾🖤 Meet Collie 🖤🐾
A quiet mama who deserves her own forever home 💫

──────────────────
💕💕A special dog 💕💕
🏷 Profile
🐶 Name: Collie
⚖️ Weight: 13 kg (28.6 lbs)
🎂 Age: Approx. 3 years
🚺 Gender: Female (Spayed)
🐕 Breed: Border Collie + Laika mix
🎨 Color: Black & White

──────────────────

💔 Her Story
Collie was rescued from a large illegal breeding facility while pregnant 🤍
She had spent her life confined in a small cage and was separated from her puppies shortly after giving birth.

Because of long-term confinement and frequent relocations, she began showing stress-related repetitive behaviors.

Since moving into a stable foster home, she has improved so much 🌿
She feels safest resting in small, cozy spaces and has learned what it means to live in a home.

Collie doesn’t demand attention or constant affection.
She is quiet, gentle, and low-maintenance 🕊️
We are looking for a family who can love her just as she is.

──────────────────

🐶 Personality & Social Skills
✔️ Good with other dogs 🐕
⚠️ Chases cats 🐱
⚡ Medium energy
🤲 Can be handled
🔕 Rarely barks (and even then, softly)
🚪 Escape caution needed — secure home required

──────────────────

🏡 Training & Lifestyle
🚽 Outdoor potty trained (can use pads if urgent)
🏠 Comfortable in a crate
🦮 Walks nicely on leash
🎗 No leash reactivity to people or dogs
🚗 Rides well in the car
🧸 No destructive behavior
🍽 No appetite issues

──────────────────

🏠 Home Environment
🏢 Apartment living: Possible
🌿 Yard: Would be nice, not required
🐾 Only dog or multi-dog home: Both okay

She may not show big, dramatic affection,
but she loves treats 🍪 and even comes to greet her foster in the mornings ☀️

Her puppies have already found their families.
Now it’s Mama Collie’s turn 💛

All she needs is a warm corner of a home and someone willing to give her quiet understanding 🏡✨

Please give Collie the chance she has never had 🖤

Additional adoption info

At Welcome Paws Rescue, our adoption process is designed to ensure the best possible match between our dogs and their future families. After submitting the application form on our website, our team will review your information to determine if your home and lifestyle align with the needs of the dog you're interested in. If your application is a good fit, we will contact you to schedule a phone or video interview. This is followed by a reference check and, in many cases, a virtual or in-person home visit. Once approved, we’ll work with you to finalize the adoption and arrange transportation or pick-up. Our goal is to support both our dogs and adopters throughout the entire process to ensure a smooth and successful transition.

More about this rescue

Welcome Paws Korean Dog Rescue is a registered nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, run entirely by a passionate team of volunteers who are deeply committed to the welfare and well-being of animals. Our mission is to rescue dogs in need and give them a second chance at life.

We believe every animal—regardless of age, size, or breed—deserves to experience love, safety, and the comfort of a forever home. Through our rescue efforts, we work to create brighter futures for these deserving animals, ensuring they have the opportunity to live happy, healthy lives.

Our dedication goes beyond rescue. We work tirelessly to save stray, neglected, abused, and at-risk shelter animals. Each dog in our care lives in a loving foster home and receives full medical attention before being matched with a permanent family.

We also strive to raise awareness about the importance of compassion and responsible pet ownership. By providing adopters with quality education and support, we ensure each adoption is successful and lasting. We don’t measure success in numbers—but in the positive, life-changing impact we make for both animals and the families who welcome them home.
