If I had to pick one word to describe Malcolm's personality, it would be "Affectionate". He has a super laid-back style or easy demeanor. Malcolm is more of a relaxed cat, not high energy and not demanding. Malcolm is literally the most affectionate cat I have ever known.
Malcolm is a beautiful boy! He is solid black with a gorgeous short coat and beautiful striking light green eyes. Malcolm is a little less than a year old. He was the runt of a litter that appeared in the neighborhood. He was constantly being beat up by the neighborhood cats.
Malcolm is very gentle and extremely intelligent. He never misses the litter box and does not spray or mark territory. He first started appearing on my door step at night the week Malcolm-Jamal Warner died, hence his name. MJW as he is affectionately nicknamed would except food if outside of trap, but would not enter the trap for the food. I tried trapping him for close to six months before he disappeared for eight weeks. I has certain he was dead, then one evening he appeared all beaten up, ear mangled. He was limping with bite marks all over his body. I opened the door and he just walked in and sat down beside me. He just gave up.
Malcolm has shown incredible resilience and a strong will to survive and miraculously is thriving despite the hardships he faced early in life. Malcolm is now in perfect health, his wounds are all healed. He is neutered, has all his shots, and is micro chipped.
Malcolm is a small sized boy and an amazing cat who's very playful and fun, but at his core he is a lap cat. He's a little shy at first but once he comes out of his shell, he is a complete sweetheart. He would love to spend all day on someone’s lap. Malcolm loves to show his affection and loves playing with toys and chilling in his cat condo and on his hammock. Malcolm is a sweet, affectionate boy who loves being part of whatever is happening around him. He is a very social, and an extremely playful kitten. Playful and fun. He is a complete sweetheart. Malcolm is quite the character and is always entertaining just like his namesake.
Malcolm loves to play with feathered wand toys and be with his favorite people, however he is quite capable of playing all by himself. When he is done playing, he’s the first to curl up next to you for a cozy snuggle, as he drifts off to sleep purring contentedly. He's affectionate, likes to be held and loved on and purrs easily. Malcolm loves being near his humans. He absolutely loves his multistory condo and goes crazy in his cat tunnel.
Malcolm wants nothing more than to be an Indoor Only Cat, he is done with the outdoors. He really likes the indoor life and he cannot wait for the right person to fall in love with him. Malcolm will make someone a great companion. If you specifically love affectionate cats, this boy is for you. Malcolm is ready for adoption and looking for someone to love him and accept him into their home and family, will that be you?

More about this rescue
We help strays and free-roaming cats live better lives by facilitating spay and neuter and vaccinations. Animal not suitable for living in the wild will be homed through our adoption program. Cat Network of Stanislaus is a 501(c)3 approved animal advocacy group. We primarily focus on feral and stray cats and serve our community so that they best can help these animals. Some cats that were found on the street end up becoming great pets. That is when they make it to this site. We take pride in the fact that we consider every animal worthy of rescuing regardless of age and medical needs. Some of our cats are special needs.
