Waterford
Male white DSH
Estimated age: 4.5 years old
Waterford is a sweet guy who is still coming out of his shell. He usually finds a cozy place to hangout and all it takes is you talking to him and he will gladly come out for pets and attention. He likes to explore and is getting used to being the center of attention in his foster home which he had not had before. He has lived with a small (11 lb) dog and other cats.
Backstory: Waterford came from a home where there were over 70 cats living in and around the home! We've been able to help with around 50 cats from this house so far but it has not been an easy task. It started a year and a half ago when a group of volunteers including a veterinarian from a local clinic had been going out to the house to pull cats to slowly chip away at the numbers. They were prioritizing sick cats, moms/kittens, and females who were not spayed as the main goal is to stop the cycle as quickly as possible. We were prioritizing sick cats, moms with kittens, unfixed cats, and babies. Recently we had the help of an amazing local organization so we could bring in 30 cats at a time for vet care and we had a foster available who could take in Waterford and a few other cats.
Location: In foster
Medical: All cats are spayed/neutered, current on age appropriate vaccines (rabies and distemper), microchipped, given flea/tick prevention and dewormer, FIV/FeLV tested, and any other veterinary care that is needed prior to adoption.
