She-ra is a bundle full of crazy energy that will make you question your sanity, but in the best way possible. She wants absolutely nothing but love and a lot of toys. She’s a silly and sweet girl who will always be there for you when you need her.
She-ra has two fecal parasites that limit her ability to be around other cats: Tritrichomonas, which is very difficult to cure, and Cryptosporidium, which can also be difficult to cure, as some cats can be resistant to the medication. The medication that most commonly cures Tritrichomonas is not FDA approved, but it is available online from a website that sells dewormers. She-ra has gone through multiple rounds of treatment, however the parasite is still present. This parasite is not common: studies show it is not too common in street cats, but it is more common in catteries, as it is contagious, but rarely tested for unless a PCR Parasite panel is done, which is what we use to test all of our cats. Though, from those studies, only 31% of cats in catteries had it. She-ra has not been around any other cats except her brother, who did not have it.
Cryptosporidium has two medications that are available that She-ra has already taken, but the parasite is still there.
She-ra has been asymptomatic of both parasites for the duration of her stay, but we will continue to treat her until it is gone. She can still be adopted if the adopter:
-has no other cats
-has other cats with Tritrichomonas and Cryptosporidium
-understands the risks of the parasite spreading to other household cats and symptoms that could come with it
For more information regarding Tritrichomonas and Cryptosporidium, find our educational section for a print out.

More about this shelter
PALNV started in California in 1993 to help abandoned, abused and neglected pets. They moved to Las Vegas, NV, after the recession. It took a couple of years to decide what was needed most in our new community and the decision was made to help community cats find their forever homes.
We opened Rescued Treasures Cat Café in August of 2019 and adopted 40 cats. We were shut down for three months in 2020 due to the Pandemic but still managed to take in 335 cats and kittens and find homes for 299. The first quarter of 2021 we took in 146 cats and adopted 84.
Our cats are from the streets. They have been abandoned and even though they are living on the streets they are very sweet loving cats. We also take out medical cats and kittens from our local shelter.
We are always looking for volunteers, donors and fosters to help save more lives. Our passion is being a part of the solution to saving our community cats!
