We got Athena when she was 6 months old, she is now 2 years old. When we first got her she had awful anxiety and we encountered a lot of submissive urination. She was a rescue from Orange County North Carolina. Due to her behavior, we suspect abuse or neglect in her first 6 months of life. We have been trying to work with her on this and she has gotten a lot better, however we’re still struggling with her. Due to her barking and anxiety it’s become an issue in our apartment complex and we need to rehome her. We would like to find her a safe home with people who can spend time with her and help her heal through this. She’s a huge cuddle bug, she’ll follow you from room to room. She does training best with positive reinforcement, as she fears anytime someone raises their voice at all.
