My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet MOMCAWBER, a sweet, short-haired multicolor female with a grey coat and orange undertones in her fur. She has an adorable matching orange tip on her tail. Momcawber has a particularly lovely face with markings that accentuate her beautiful eyes. This young cat is a teen mom with a history on the streets and a heart of gold. She is very affectionate and loves people and other cats. While not especially playful initially, Momcawber has really come out of her shell in her foster home. She was rescued and brought in out of the cold with her four kittens by a Good Samaritan, and has had a safe and loving foster home where she has really blossomed. Momcawber has grown accustomed to the lavish life she is living indoors and shows no interest in being outside, although its always wise to exercise caution around doors and windows. Three of her kittens are also available for adoption – Lil'Petey, Socks, and Friday, and she’d love a home with any -- or all! -- of them. She’s ready for a permanent home and deserves all the love that her forever family will lavish upon her.

Momcawber has been spayed vaccinated, microchipped, and is negative for FeLV and FIV. Her adoption fee includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet Mawcamber, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at PetSmart. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $155 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, have been de-wormed, treated with flea medication at intake, spayed or neutered, and have been microchipped and tested for felv/fiv tested.

Go meet their pets

All of our cats are located either in one of our adoption centers or a foster home. If you are in the neighborhood, you are more than welcome to drop by one of our adoption centers to view available animals. Our adoption centers are located in both Eugene PetSmart stores and Wags! Dog Emporium. Feel free to call us at 541-225-4955 (option 1 for cats) and leave us your contact information and which specific companion animal or general animal type you are interested in and we’ll arrange to have you meet your potential new friend.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette, at Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd and the Eugene-Springfield Cat Lounge. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
