Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Arya is a 6-year-old, cuddly and super sweet kitty looking for her forever home!
This pretty girl is an absolute sweetheart and a total lovebug! She loves starting her day with you by waking you up with the gentlest little meows to politely request her morning pets (and, of course, breakfast!).
She’ll sit patiently and look up at you with her big, expressive eyes, sometimes adding a soft meow just to make sure you know she’s waiting for her food.
After breakfast, Arya enjoys a long, cozy nap to recharge. Once she’s rested, she transforms into a playful, energetic girl who’s ready for fun! She loves to explore and satisfy her curiosity, she’s a little adventurer at heart.
When bedtime comes, Arya is more than happy to settle in with you. She loves sleeping nearby, often curling up like a fluffy little ball at your feet. It’s her favorite place to be.
Call her name and she’ll respond with a cheerful meow before trotting over to you, gently pressing her head against you for affection.
Arya truly thrives on companionship and would love a home where she can share her sweetness every day. Her favorite toy is a wand teaser, and about 20–30 minutes of interactive play each day keeps her happy and healthy.
She currently lives in an apartment with a young woman.
She enjoys meeting her foster’s friends, but she thrives best in a calm, peaceful home and can feel overwhelmed in very noisy, party-like environments.
Based on her previous history, she would do best as the only cat in the home. (She has no experience with dogs or young children.)
Arya has an upcoming dental appointment on Mar 25, but will be available for pickup after that date! This lovely, calm girl is so ready to join the right quiet, loving home. Could it be with you?
There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimates.
Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.
All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.

Pet Haven is a foster-based rescue. Our animals live with foster families until they are placed in permanent homes and their foster families get to know the dogs and cats learning important information about the animals. For example, the foster family will know if the dog or cat is good with other animals or children, and will have a good idea of what kind of training, attention, and special needs the pet may require. This makes our foster families great resources for potential adopters!

Our Vision

How We Help
Spay/Neuter Initiative Program: Providing support to end pet overpopulation in Minnesota
Owner Surrender: Providing a safe haven for pet owners
Foster: Committed to finding forever homes for cats and dogs
Phoenix Fund for Special Needs: Providing veterinary care for animals in need of healing
What We Do
We help dogs and cats find homes with loving families through foster-based care. Every dog and cat lives with a foster family until they find their forever families. We provide all of their basic needs including proper food, veterinary care, behavior training, and supplies.
Through in-home fostering, we learn about each animal’s temperament, personality, likes/dislikes, and any medical needs. With this first-hand information, we can then find the right family for each dog and cat.
Our volunteers also educate the public on responsible companion animal care and represent respect for animals at all times. Whether we’re working with prospective new families, meeting people at public events, or socializing with friends and family, we encourage others to view and treat their pets as members of the family. We are their guardians, and they depend on us for companionship and care.
We spay/neuter prior to adoption.
We microchip all our Pet Haven Pets and remain as a secondary contact.
We make sure all pets are up to date on required vaccinations
We test for Heartworm and Lymes in all our dogs and are transparent in the results and treament
We test for FeLV/FIV and are transparent in the results. We believe that cats who test positive still deserve a chance at a quality home.
We do not euthanize animals unless they have untreatable health or behavioral conditions that deny them an acceptable quality of life or makes them a serious threat to people, other animals, or themselves.
How We Operate
We rely on adoption fees, tax-deductible donations, grants, and special events to keep our rescue operating. Our staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers have provided the passion and commitment to keep Pet Haven a safe haven for animals for almost 70 years.
We are committed to preventing pet homelessness through the SNIP Grant. Since 2005, we have granted more than $240,000 to organizations in Minnesota to support spay/neuter initiatives.
