My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Charley is just a baby — three months old, full of softness, curiosity, and the sweetest little spirit you could imagine. He has that classic kitten charm: tiny paws, bright curious eyes, and a playful energy that comes alive when he’s around his feline friends.
Watch his YouTube video now https://youtu.be/P-tLS3nupQM?si=0mmwCD8oKvZ-G4Cm

Charley absolutely adores other cats. That’s when you see his true personality shine. He plays, he bounces, he chases toys with enthusiasm, and he happily joins in kitten games like he hasn’t a single worry in the world. With other cats, he’s confident, joyful, and completely himself. A home with a friendly kitty companion would mean the world to him and help him continue to grow into the brave little boy he’s meant to be.

With people, Charley is a bit shy at first. He’s the thoughtful type — the one who likes to observe before jumping in. He takes his time learning that hands are gentle and voices are kind. But the most beautiful thing about Charley is that you can see how badly he wants to trust. He wants the love. He just needs a little reassurance to fully lean into it.

Charley will need a patient, loving home that understands that some of the very best relationships take time. He’ll need someone willing to sit nearby, offer soft pets, speak gently, and let him blossom at his own pace. And when he does? That bond will be so incredibly special. There is something magical about being chosen by a shy kitten — about watching him slowly realize that you are his safe place.

He isn’t a bold, in-your-face kitten demanding attention. He’s a tender little soul who will quietly grow attached, who will build trust step by step, and who will love deeply once he feels secure. Those shy beginnings only make the connection stronger.

Charley has so much potential and so much love waiting to be given. Underneath that cautious exterior is a playful, affectionate, silly little boy who just needs someone to show him that he’s home.

If you have a gentle heart, a calm space, and a little patience, Charley will reward you with the kind of love that feels earned and lasting. He’s not just looking for a house — he’s looking for his person.

And once he finds you, he’ll never forget it.Adopt him today!

Why adopt from Three Little Pitties?

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This kitty you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it!

Three Little Pitties Rescue (3LP) wants to set you and your new family member up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby you also receive other additional perks such as a code for a free bag of cat litter AND a code for 50% off a 2nd bag of litter from Catalyst Pet, coupons for a fun visit to Petco, and support through our Facebook Adopters group where you can connect with thousands of other adopters, 3LP volunteers, fosters and staff. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescues and will require continued efforts but are well on their way to being the best kitties that they can be! We ask that you give them time (can take weeks to months) to decompress in their new home, do slow introductions to other pets and let their true personalities have a chance to come through.

We celebrated our 7 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 16,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
