My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Baba. He comes when you call. He waits for you to come home after work. He plays and follows you around the house. He loves wand toys. And he loves to sit next to you, or on your lap, while you watch movies.

Baba has come a long way from the scared, injured boy we got from the trailer park 5 months ago. It looked like he had gotten hit by a car and drug a ways so his leg was beat up and then infected. He was so scared. He was a mess.

But now this gorgeous orange boy has done a full circle. Healthy, vibrant, full of love for his people and for his foster cat brother and just so very happy to be in a home with a family. It seems that it had been a very long time since he had loved ones and comforts. But that homeless, sad, lonely time is over. Now is the time for him to find his forever people and cat friends.

Guess is that he is 3 or 4 years old. How long he was abandoned and on his own we don't know. He grew very fearful when he had no one in the world to love and care for him. It has taken months for him to recover and believe that there is good in the world. He trusts his foster family. And we are sure that he can build that trust and love with other people who will give him the time to adapt to a different home and humans and cat friend. It will take time. But he so deserves a family who will have the patience and love that he will need. And once he is sure it's okay, he will be a wonderful, loving, devoted part of the family. He will need a cat friend in his new home, as well as the option to go outside when the weather is nice. Not insistence that he goes out, but that he has a choice to go if he wishes.

If you are willing to give this wonderful cat a chance to learn that you love him, please contact us. He's in Anchorage. Call 907 980-8898

More about this rescue

Clear Creek Cat Rescue is a group of individuals in Alaska dedicated to rescuing cats in need, giving them care, rehabilitation if needed, and finding happy homes for them. We each give what we can to help these cats get through this most unfortunate time in their lives when they have been taken to the pound or are otherwise lost and homeless. Some of us share our homes with these cats while they are waiting for their forever family, some transport them from place to place, some host adoption fairs, take pictures, post ads. Some offer financial help. We each do what we can to help. And through this dedicated group of people, more than a thousand cats have been saved and found loving homes.
In 2020, we rescued and rehomed approximately 650 cats.
