Oliver George just arrived at Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions and he’s ready to steal hearts. This 2.5-year-old is friendly, social, and endlessly curious about everything going on around him. Whether it’s lounging on the kids’ beds, supervising family game night, or plopping onto textbooks during school hours, Oliver wants to be part of the action — on his terms.
He’s an expert at communicating what he wants: sometimes he’ll snuggle right into your bubble for love, and other times he’ll keep a respectful distance to watch what you’re doing. He loves greeting guests (and smelling their shoes!), and is very tolerant of kids — even toddlers who may handle him a little roughly.
Oliver George is playful, affectionate, and just a touch goofy:
- Loves chasing rubber balls or a laser pointer across the floor
- Enjoys lying on his back with his legs in the air when cozy
- Will lick your hands to say hello
- Not a fan of brushing, but totally wins you over with his personality
He’s not much of a climber, stays off counters, and enjoys his daily adventures in a safe catio enclosure. Morning greetings at the bedroom door? Count on it. Being the center of attention? Absolutely — he’ll find the coziest spot on your lap or even on whatever you’re working on to make sure he gets some extra love.
Oliver George is confident and independent but loves people and thrives in a lively household. That said, he would do best as the only cat in the home, where he can truly shine as the star of the show.

Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions is a nonprofit organization dedicated to cats and people in our community. We provide counseling, information, and resources to empower people to support their cats and others in the community. If cats cannot stay with their families or neighborhoods, we prioritize our intake on cats most at risk - cats in need of rehoming; kittens who need specialized care; and cats who have been abandoned, are sick or injured, or are not thriving in the community. We are committed to ensuring the highest level of attention and care for cats in our adoption program and provide a modern, free-roaming adoption center to minimize stress, serve the individual needs of each cat, and set up both cats and adopters for success.
