My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet three resilient sweethearts rescued from St. Johns County Animal Shelter — Bluey, Genovese, and Capone. These beautiful grey siblings were officer pick-ups after being found abandoned and without consistent care. We believe they are from the same litter, approximately two years old, with an estimated birthdate of 02/09/2024.

Though their start was rough, it’s clear they once knew the comfort of a home — because all three are incredibly friendly, affectionate, and social. They adore being held and can almost always be found snuggled into the nearest warm lap at the café.

When first rescued, they were heavily covered in fleas, which caused intense itching and some hair loss due to flea dermatitis. The good news? They are fully treated, feeling fantastic, and their soft coats are growing back beautifully. Capone had the most hair loss, but he’s healing wonderfully and thriving.

🩶 Bluey – Male Grey Tuxedo

Bluey is pure personality! This outgoing, super-affectionate boy is a happy greeter who makes every guest feel special. He starts his mornings chasing the dry mop like it’s the best toy ever invented and keeps the fun going all day long. Bluey loves attention, seeks out cuddles, and isn’t shy about asking for pets. If you’re looking for a cheerful companion who will brighten every day, Bluey is your guy.

🩶 Genovese – Female Grey & White Tabby

Genivese is a petite, darling little lady with a big heart. She’s friendly, outgoing, and always ready to play. This sweet girl is also a devoted lap lover who happily melts into cuddles once playtime is over. She brings the perfect balance of playful energy and gentle affection.

🩶 Capone – Male Grey Tabby

Capone may have had the most visible effects from his flea dermatitis, but don’t let that fool you — he is the sweetest boy of the bunch. Brave and gentle, he’s not afraid of children and gets along wonderfully with other cats. Capone is incredibly social and welcomes anyone who visits with calm affection. His loving nature shines through in everything he does.

These three have overcome neglect with resilience and love. They’re healthy, happy, and ready for a forever home — whether together or separately — where they’ll never have to wonder if they’re wanted again.

If you’re looking for affectionate, social, lap-loving companions, Bluey, Genovese, and Capone are ready to fill your home with warmth and purrs.

Go meet their pets

We are a foster based rescue. Our kitties are raised in loving foster homes, so they are socialized, love people and have good potty habits. Some are already adjusted to busy households with dogs, other adult cats and children. Please send us an inquiry and we will schedule a meet and greet.

Small Lives Matter Kitten Rescue

We are a foster based rescue providing home care havens for kittens in need.

We are a 501(c)3 charitable organization supported by a network of volunteer fosters. We provide urgent care to neonate and sick kittens in need of life saving support.
We provide a haven to kittens until they are thriving and ready for spay and neuter surgery and then adoption.

Kittens under eight weeks old are one of the most at-risk populations in the United States, being killed or allowed to die by the hundreds of thousands every year. Our vision is that all neonatal, sick and other at-risk kittens are given a chance to grow and thrive through life-saving fosters and then adoption. Join us in the fight to stop euthanasia of orphaned kittens and share our dream that one day animals will no longer be killed in America's shelters. We believe every life is important, no matter how small.

We need everyone's help with our mission. There are many ways you can help. Please donate, volunteer to foster or adopt today!!
