My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: Young Adult

Meet Tui, a young bunny with big opinions and even bigger zoomies! This clever girl has made it very clear that cauliflower is *not* on her menu, but she happily enjoys a variety of leafy greens and green veggies, plus the occasional tidbit of carrot, apple, or grape. She enjoys munching through the Timothy crumbs at the bottom of the hay bag and loves longer hay offered in her rack, litter box, and even stuffed into cardboard tubes.

Tui is a foraging pro, using both a snuffle ball and snuffle mat (deep nubs approved!) to hunt for her pellets. She has had very polite, supervised nose-to-nose terms with her former foster cat and dog siblings through a fence, and could do well with other animals that respect her space. She also came from a home with other rabbits and could bond with another with very, very slow intros.

An avid chewer and accomplished “renovator,” Tui will need a well bunny-proofed home. She’s perfecting her binkies and zooms, and is clearly training for the 2028 Bunny Summer Olympics! There will never be a dull moment with this fun gal in your home, so what are you waiting for?

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
