Salem is looking for a loving foster home to help her recover while she is receiving medical treatment.
Foster Reason: Upper Respiratory Infection (URI) Or possible onformational airway issue + mammary mass
Foster Time Frame: 2 Weeks (The foster time frame could be longer depending on future medical results and needs.)
Foster Care Plan: Salem is currently being treated for an upper respiratory infection, which is similar to a common cold. Since she may be contagious to other pets, we strongly recommend keeping her in a separate, dedicated space such as a spare bathroom or bedroom until she has fully recovered. She is also being treated for a mass in her mammary chain. She will go to her foster home with medication, and once her treatment is complete, she’ll be ready for surgery and then adoption.
Foster to Adopt: Salem is available through our Foster to Adopt program, which allows pets awaiting or undergoing medical treatment to be placed with prospective adopters before they are made available for adoption. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please visit https://www.operationkindness.org/foster/ or email us at foster@operationkindness.org to learn more.
