My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fruit Loops and Skittles are four-year-old, sweet and handleable male American guinea pigs looking for a loving guardian.

These boys get along beautifully and sometimes can be found snuggled under the same hidey hut.

Sadly they were given up by a family suffering from worsening allergies.

They are currently eating unlimited timothy, orchard and botanical hays, fresh salad, fruits, veggies and pellets. Guinea pigs need daily vitamin C which they get from fresh pellets, a 1-inch squares of red pepper, a vitamin C cookie, and some of their dark leafy greens.

These guys deserve guinea pig loving homes with people who will handle them daily, keep them well-fed, nails trimmed, and their habitat nice and clean.

If you’re interested in meeting and possibly adopting these two boys, please fill out an adoption application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/guinea-pig-adoption-application/ and follow up to make an appointment by contacting friendsofpetraits@gmail.com

Their adoption fee of $50 as a pair benefits the Friends of Petraits Rescue Group. For an additional $75, you can purchase their Midwest guinea pig cage (two-foot by four-foot), and all the supplies you’ll need to care for them!

They are being fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood.
