Meet Bagheera, a handsome black panther lookalike with a heart as warm as his glossy coat. This sweet, confident boy adores attention and he is not shy about telling you. Bagheera loves to “talk” and will happily chat away to let you know he is ready for pets, playtime, or just some extra love. Whether he is leaning into your hand for scratches, following you around, or curling up beside you for quiet companionship, he makes his affection known. Playtime is just as important to him as cuddle time. Bagheera absolutely loves his catnip toys and can entertain himself and you with his silly, playful energy when they are around.
His previous owner fell on hard times and, with a heavy heart, had to let him go. Now Bagheera is hoping for a fresh start in a forever home where he can feel safe, cherished, and adored the way he deserves. Abandoned Pet Rescue (APR) is one of the largest no-kill animal shelters in South Florida with the mission of rescuing and sheltering abandoned and abused cats and dogs with the goal of finding them new homes. APR's adoption center has about 150 cats and 30 dogs, all of which receive nutritious meals, veterinary care, enrichment and love.
APR, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was founded in 1996 by a group of volunteers who were trapping, spaying and neutering feral cats and quickly realized the greater need to help abandoned pets and advocate for a no-kill community. APR is funded solely by generous donors and grants.
