My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tigger, a brown tabby with a heart full of love and a purr that could melt anyone’s worries away. This sweet, gentle boy is looking for a quiet home where he can be the one and only pet. He prefers the spotlight all to himself. Tigger is a loyal and affectionate companion who will follow you from room to room, always wanting to be near. He loves to snuggle up beside you and will reward your affection with the loudest, most contented purrs. Tigger is truly a tender soul who just wants someone to love him as much as he’ll love them.

Tigger also qualifies for Abandoned Pet Rescue’s Medical Adoption Program, which means all of his veterinary care will be provided at Abandoned Pet Rescue for the rest of his life. He takes a daily pill to help keep his stomach feeling its best and he takes it like a champ!

Tigger is currently in a foster home, so if you're ready to give this loving boy the peaceful, pet free home he deserves, please fill out an application at abandonedpetrescue.org.

Tigger is vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and ready for adoption at Abandoned Pet Rescue - a no-kill shelter in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

More about this shelter

Abandoned Pet Rescue (APR) is one of the largest no-kill animal shelters in South Florida with the mission of rescuing and sheltering abandoned and abused cats and dogs with the goal of finding them new homes. APR's adoption center has about 150 cats and 30 dogs, all of which receive nutritious meals, veterinary care, enrichment and love.

APR, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was founded in 1996 by a group of volunteers who were trapping, spaying and neutering feral cats and quickly realized the greater need to help abandoned pets and advocate for a no-kill community. APR is funded solely by generous donors and grants.
