If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
We adopted Cotopaxi from Longmont Humane society in late 2019. When we adopted her she was estimated to be 3 years old. She is now 9 but still has the energy of a puppy. She is the sweetest girl and loves to cuddle up, play, and sleep with us in bed.
She needs an experienced pet family that keep her active, ideally with some land that she can run around on. She is very active and can be destructive if she isn't stimulated.
We are looking to rehome her due to a newly developed issue with our other dog. This issue has been caused by resource guarding and food aggression. We have never had any issues with either us or our young children. We believe she would do best as an only dog.
