My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kentucky Daisy

Kentucky Daisy’s world has been turned upside down, and she’s hoping for a kind heart to help her start again.

Originally known as Kentucky in the rescue and later named Daisy by her adopter, this beautiful girl first came to us as a tiny kitten after being found in the woods with her mom and siblings. They were very sick when they were rescued, and it was a tough fight for them to survive. Sadly, one sibling didn’t make it. Despite such a heartbreaking start, Kentucky Daisy pulled through and was eventually adopted from the café into what we hoped would be her forever home.

Recently, she was returned to the rescue through no fault of her own after her beloved owner passed away and the family was unable to keep her. Losing her person and her home has been very confusing for her, and she’s still trying to understand why everything changed so suddenly.

Kentucky Daisy can be shy at first while she learns to trust again. She may even give a little growl toward other cats until she feels safe, but underneath it all she is still the same sweet girl she’s always been. Once she knows you’re trustworthy, she will show you just how loving she can be. She has a beautiful little meow and the cutest habit of looking around the room with her head in a way that reminds us of a ballerina turning.

After such a difficult beginning—and now losing the home she loved—Kentucky Daisy deserves a calm, patient family who will give her time to settle in and remind her that she is safe and loved again.

She’s hoping that this time, her next home will truly be forever.

We provide all initial wellness care, including vaccines, deworming, checking for mites etc., for each kitten and cat under our care. All cats and kittens available for adotpion have been spayed or neutered, microchipped, and given a rabies vaccine. Our adoption fees also cover lifetime microchip registration. To apply to adopt, please visit our website www.fcocinc.org and click "Adopt" under the cat you're interested in.
