Here's what the humans have to say about me:
PLEASE READ THIS BIO IN FULL BEFORE APPLYING FOR TOFFEE.
Toffee is a feral cat that we trapped several months ago. He was neutered and given his shots right away. His ear was notched as he was extremely wild so the vet thought we might have to release him and wanted him to be marked as neutered in case. The journey to making friends with Toffee was slow but after a month or so, I was able to sit beside him without him coming at me in fear. Almost three months into the process, he began to accept petting and occasionally asked for it. From there on, the progress has been much faster but he will still revert to his feral self if he is frightened. He needs a home where the adopter(s) has/have experience with a feral cat and understand that time and patience are a must. He will not be adopted to a home with children as he does have a tendency to strike when frightened. He is a BEAUTIFUL boy but one must realize he can be a challenge. But, given time, love and patience he has become a great, loving boy with me. He has not warmed up to anyone else as of yet but he is does show signs of doing that on occasion. If you think you are a match for this wonderful boy, go to pawspaws.org to complete the PAWS application. His adoption fee is $150. He is guessed to be 3 years old and is up to date on all shots, microchipped and neutered.

Additional adoption info
Dogs: The adoption fees for PAWS puppies and dogs start at $200. Occasionally, the adoption fee will be higher and, if that is the case, it will be noted on the animal's profile. When you adopt your new dog or puppy, it will be spayed or neutered, wormed, micro-chipped, and up to date on routine shots. If it is six months or older, it will have been tested for heartworms and placed on a heartworm preventative.
Cats: The adoption fee for most PAWS kittens and cats is $75. When you adopt your new cat or kitten, it will be spayed or neutered, wormed, micro-chipped, and up to date on its shots, with the exception of its rabies shot, which must be given by a vet. IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO ADOPT A CAT OR KITTEN, BE SURE TO BRING A CARRIER OR PET TAXI WITH YOU. WE CANNOT SEND A CAT/KITTEN HOME UNLESS IT IS IN A CARRIER/PET TAXI.
We certainly recommend that you continue your pet's routine vaccination regimen with your veterinarian.
SAME DAY ADOPTIONS ARE NOT ALWAYS POSSIBLE, SO IF YOU ARE DRIVING FROM A DISTANCE, PLEASE MAKE ADVANCE ARRANGEMENTS.
IF YOU RENT, YOU MUST BRING A SIGNED RENTAL AGREEMENT FROM YOUR LANDLORD STATING THAT IT IS OKAY FOR YOU TO HAVE AN ANIMAL IN THE HOUSE. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A RENTAL AGREEMENT, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TAKE THE COMPANION ANIMAL OF YOUR CHOICE HOME WITH YOU.
OUT OF STATE ADOPTERS ARE ASKED TO PAY THE ADOPTION FEE IN CASH.
PAWS IS NOW EQUIPPED TO TAKE CREDIT CARDS.
If you are interested in adopting, please e-mail Kareel at pawsplace1@yahoo.com, and she will get back to you as soon as possible. If you live in the area, please come see us!! If not, please keep us in your thoughts. We need monetary donations badly in order to keep this wonderful operation going, so, if you are able, please send whatever you can. At the present time, PAWS Place is full of kitty grins and doggy smiles. Please help us keep it that way!!
