Hi there… I’m Ivy. My days are filled with the soft, gentle coos I make as I watch the world go by. There’s something peaceful about being a dove — I find joy in the quiet moments, the warm sunlight through a window, and the comforting rhythm of a safe home. I’m not just any ordinary bird. I have a heart full of love and a spirit that soars, even when my wings are at rest. I’m naturally curious and quite the little explorer. I enjoy observing my surroundings, investigating new perches, and making sure I know all the cozy corners of my space. Of course, I do have my favourites — especially when it comes to food! My daily meals are very important to me, and I absolutely adore a good mix of seeds. Proper dove care means a spacious enclosure, time outside my cage to stretch and flutter, a nutritious diet, and someone who understands that birds like me thrive on gentle routines and calm environments. I’m looking for a home with someone who truly appreciates doves — our quiet affection, our intelligence, and the special bond we form with patient, kind humans. I may not bark or meow, but I promise my soft coos and peaceful presence will fill your home with warmth. If you’re ready to welcome a sweet, curious soul who just wants to be cherished, I’m waiting. P.S. I came to the shelter with my dove friends after our beloved owner passed away. We’ve always had each other, and it would mean the world to me if I could be adopted with some — or even all — of them. We find comfort in our little flock, and we’d love to stay together as we begin this next chapter.
