Meet Dutchess, our beautiful mama cat with a heart as gentle as her name. After lovingly raising her kittens, this sweet girl is ready for a forever home of her own.

Dutchess is very mellow and affectionate. She enjoys the simple things in life—especially long naps in a sunny window and quiet time рядом with her people. She has a calm, soothing presence and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a laid-back, loving cat.

She does well with teens and appreciates a peaceful environment. She hasn’t been exposed to small children or dogs yet, so slow introductions would be recommended if they’re in the home.

All cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, treated for fleas and ear mites, tested for FELV/FIV and microchipped. You must fill out an adoption application and talk directly with one of our adoption coordinators. An adoption contract must be signed at time of adoption.

You may visit The Cat House daily, except major holidays, 1-4 pm, by appointment only. We also have an off-site adoption center located inside Petco at 4144 N. Blackstone at Ashlan in Fresno, which is open open daily 10am-5pm and Wednesday 10am-6pm.

The Cat House on the Kings is California's largest no-cage, no-kill, lifetime cat sanctuary and adoption center located on 12 acres along the Kings River in Parlier, California, which is in the central San Joaquin Valley, southeast of Fresno.

At The Cat House, our mission is to:
1) provide a no-cage, no-kill sanctuary for feral and abandoned cats and kittens for the State of California, primarily serving the Central Valley;
2) facilitate the adoption of cats (primarily), dogs and other rescued animals into safe, loving, healthy and permanent homes;
3) educate the public on how to become directly involved in improving the quality of animal welfare;
4) offer low cost spay and neuter referrals.
