My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bonzi is a beautiful 2-year-old (approximately) tortie coloured girl with a gentle soul and a heart that just needs a little time to shine. At first, she can be quite nervous in new environments and around new people. She prefers to observe quietly from a safe spot while she figures things out. But with patience, kindness, and a calm home, Bonzi slowly begins to open up.
Once she feels safe, her true personality starts to blossom. Bonzi is an absolute sweetheart who adores cozy snuggles and quiet companionship. She bonds deeply with her people and will happily curl up beside you when it's time to relax.
Bonzi is also a bit of a night owl. She enjoys exploring when things are peaceful and quiet, making the evening and nighttime her favorite time to wander and investigate her surroundings.
Bonzi would thrive in a calm, patient home where she can settle in at her own pace. If you're someone who understands that the best relationships take a little time to grow, Bonzi will reward you with affection, loyalty, and lots of loving snuggles.
Could you be the safe and loving home Bonzi has been waiting for? 🖤🧡
Bonzi is currently in a foster home so her meet and greets will be by appointment only!

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
