Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi. My name is Bear 🐻💙
Yes, like the big fuzzy woodland creature… but apparently I am “only” 2 years old and not actually 800 pounds 😒 I personally disagree. I am clearly lap sized. If you sit down, I will demonstrate 😉
Let me tell you about me.
I am strong. Like… strong strong 💪 If we go for a walk, you might think you are walking me. That is adorable ☺️ We are working on that though. I hear “easy” and “leave it” and I am catching on. I am smart 🧠 Very smart. Possibly genius level 🎓
I sleep in my kennel every night like a very good boy. No messes. Zero. I do, however, like to file a formal complaint for about 20 minutes because I prefer freedom and human proximity. After my brief speech, I settle down 🗣️💤
When my people left and checked the camera, I was a perfect angel 😇 No nonsense. No drama 🎭
Dogs. I love them. Respectful dogs are my kind of crowd. Backyard time is fantastic. With new sights and sounds, I am taking it all in one step at a time. Every day is a new adventure and I am here for it ☺️
Baths. I did not love them, but I did not hate them. I tolerated them like a mature adult 🛁🫧
Academically speaking, I am doing very well. I have mastered sit and down. When someone says, “Bear, go lay on your bed,” I clearly understand the assignment. Stay is getting better every day, and my leash manners are still a work in progress, but I am trying 🫣
I am just a good boy figuring out the world 🌍 Strong heart. Strong muscles. Soft soul.
If you are looking for a best friend who will make you laugh, keep you active, and maybe try to sit in your lap like he weighs 7 pounds…

R.E.A.L Rottweiler Rescue was founded in 2003 by a couple with a passion and love for the Rottweiler breed. We are an all volunteer based 501c3 non-profit rescue organization. Our primary focus has been on Rottweilers, but we also rescue medium and large sized dogs of all breeds. We take in homeless rottweilers and work with them in our homes to assess personality, temperament, training and needs. Then place them up for adoption. Our goal is to find not just any home for each dog, but the perfect match for both the dog and its new family. To date, R.E.A.L. has had over 2000 successful adoptions!
