They came to us as owner surrenders because their family was going a divorce and could no longer care for them-
Scout is the spokesperson of the duo...more vocal and not afraid to let you know exactly how he feels-especially if he is unsure at first. He just needs someone to give him time and show that you are consistent, and then he is friendly. Once you gain his trust he turns into a big softie and seems to be a velcro dog. Both are having trouble and are being timid in the kennel, and have shown some growling ( no biting), but are improving when they are taken out of the kennel.
Scout accepts treats readily and is playful outside of the kennel scenario.
He is very healthy and will be neutered and brought up to date with vaccines by the shelter. They're currently not available for adoption because they need someone who can give them a little patience and time, and it's difficult to do this with strangers on the adoption floor.
we are looking for an aussie savvy adopter or foster who can give this boy the patience and training he deserves and needs. Fenced yard is a must another kind dog should be ok, not an in your face pushy dog. Or perhaps no other dog. They will need some training and most importantly time to adapt to a new situation. Their whole lives have changed.
Apps can be found at ewenityfarmsbch.com. Please help give this boy another chance!!!

Adoption fees range depending on the age of the dog. We do have dogs located at qualified fosters throughout the state and also out of state.

You will need to contact Ewenity Farms HDH to make arrangements to meet the rescue dog after you have an approved app on file. Apps can be filled out at ewenityfarm.org

More about this rescue
We are a small, foster-based rescue organization located in Southwest Florida. Being small helps us give more one-on-one attention to individual dogs and their needs. Rescued dogs are kept in our homes and treated as our own. Herding dogs are unique. They are highly intelligent and require much of the owner’s attention. The dogs are evaluated, when they come into the rescue, for any temperament and health issues. Then they are given basic obedience, socialization and rehabilitation as it is necessary.
It is our sole purpose to find forever homes for these loving, wonderful dogs that have been discarded through no fault of their own. All adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, micro-chipped, and on flea and heartworm preventative.
