My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lion !

Lion may have been abandoned on our property by his previous owner, but you’d never guess it from his loving spirit. This resilient, big-hearted boy has come such a long way—and through it all, the only thing he’s ever wanted is love and attention.

Lion isn’t shy about asking for what he wants! He’ll proudly “shout” to let you know he’s ready for pets and affection. And once he’s been properly spoiled with scratches, cuddles, and kind words, he’ll happily trot off on his merry little way, completely content. It’s his adorable routine, and it’s impossible not to fall in love with it.

He’s truly one of the sweetest guys you’ll ever meet. Nothing seems to faze him—he takes life in stride and greets each day (and each person) with a gentle, easygoing attitude. Lion is simply looking for a forever home where he’ll never have to wonder if he’s wanted again.

If you’re ready for a loyal companion who will always let you know how much he loves you, Lion is waiting to roar his way right into your heart.

FMAR felines are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated for age-appropriate shots, and negative for FIV/FeLV.

More about this shelter

We are a nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter comprised mostly of volunteers. We take in cats and dogs from local shelters and the public who can no longer care for their pets. Each of the volunteers at FMAR has a tremendous amount of love for animals and simply wants to do what they can to ensure that as many animals as possible find a forever home. Until then, each animal has a home at FMAR indefinitely.
