During a rare cold spell in Florida, four tiny lives were discovered near Ring Power equipment just off I-95 — barely 5 weeks old and somehow surviving on their own. Thankfully, the dedicated rescuers at Small Lives Matter Kitten Rescue sprang into action.
Though the babies were scattered and difficult to round up, every single one was safely rescued and brought into a warm, loving foster home where they could finally rest, eat, and grow. We believe this resilient little crew was born around December 6, 2025, and from the very beginning, they proved to be fighters.
Now thriving, this adorable litter of four is full of personality, playfulness, and sweetness.
Cavelli – The Gentle Boy
The only boy of the group, Cavelli is a sleek solid black kitten with a thoughtful nature. He loves batting around his little ball toys and is perfectly happy playing with his sisters or entertaining himself. While he may take a little time to warm up to new people, once he feels comfortable, you’ll discover what a truly nice, gentle boy he is.
Carmella – The Daring Calico
Carmella, the beautiful calico princess, is the most playful and adventurous of the bunch. She absolutely loves toys and hardly needs anyone to keep her entertained — she creates her own fun! Social and outgoing, she’s also the most affectionate of the litter. After she’s worn herself out from playtime, she happily curls up in your lap for cuddles and well-earned purrs.
Castella – The Blazed Beauty
Castella is a stunning tortoiseshell with a gorgeous blaze of orange across her head. She’s spirited, playful, and full of personality. True to her tortie roots, she carries that delightful mix of sass and sweetness that makes her endlessly charming.
Canella – The Sweet & Sassy Sister
Canella, another lovely tortoiseshell, shares that classic tortie temperament — a little bit sassy, very loving, and full of playful energy. She enjoys romping with her siblings and brings her own spark of confidence and affection to the group.
From a cold roadside start to the warmth of a foster home, these four little survivors have blossomed into happy, healthy kittens ready for forever families. Each one carries a story of resilience — and a heart full of love waiting to be shared.
We have dozens of cats and kittens available! All our adoptable cats are located at the Frisky Cat Cafe in St Augustine. 1092 Ponce De Leon Blvd (US 1). Visiting the cafe is a great way to find your perfect kitty. All of our cats and kittens are socialized and happy to interact with visitors, so you will meet them with their true personalities.

We gather information on all of our new families and require an application and a phone consultation for a kitty visit.

If your family is a good match for an available kitty, we will schedule a visit so you can meet your pet and ensure it is the right fit!

Sign Adoption Contract
Your kitty will be wormed, up to date on vaccines and flea prevention, microchipped and spayed or neutered.

Thank you for your interest in our precious foster kittens. All our new families will answer some basic questions as part of our application process. Once we receive your response, we will contact you within 48 hours to discuss your application and provide details about your desired kitten. Thank you for choosing to adopt a homeless kitty!

We are a foster based rescue. Our kitties are raised in loving foster homes, so they are socialized, love people and have good potty habits. Some are already adjusted to busy households with dogs, other adult cats and children. Please send us an inquiry and we will schedule a meet and greet.

We are a foster based rescue providing home care havens for kittens in need.
We are a 501(c)3 charitable organization supported by a network of volunteer fosters. We provide urgent care to neonate and sick kittens in need of life saving support.
We provide a haven to kittens until they are thriving and ready for spay and neuter surgery and then adoption.
Kittens under eight weeks old are one of the most at-risk populations in the United States, being killed or allowed to die by the hundreds of thousands every year. Our vision is that all neonatal, sick and other at-risk kittens are given a chance to grow and thrive through life-saving fosters and then adoption. Join us in the fight to stop euthanasia of orphaned kittens and share our dream that one day animals will no longer be killed in America's shelters. We believe every life is important, no matter how small.
