Pica is a stunning 3-year-old Birman with striking beauty and a quiet, mysterious personality. She came to us after spending her entire life confined to a very small room. When she first arrived at the shelter she was extremely stressed and unsure of the world around her.
Over the past year, we have worked patiently with Pica, and the transformation has been wonderful to see. She began in a confined space to help her feel safe, but she now free-roams and enjoys lounging around the shelter like the beautiful little queen she is.
Pica can be a bit opinionated, but she has come a long way. She enjoys rubbing against our ankles, will sometimes sleep on her back, and carries herself with the elegance of a true supermodel. At first she may simply prefer to watch and observe — the kind of cat who looks absolutely gorgeous lounging in your home — but with time, patience, and space to feel secure, we believe she has the potential to grow even more affectionate.
Because of her past, Pica would do best in a quiet home with no children. She would thrive as an only cat, though she does tolerate most other cats. What she truly needs is a calm environment and room to roam — the more space she has, the more comfortable and confident she becomes.
Pica is a purebred Birman who deserves a true second chance after the psychological toll of her early confinement. She just needs someone willing to give her the time and understanding she was never given before.
She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and ready to find the patient home she deserves.
