Here's what the humans have to say about me:
French Fry is an adorable, active two-year-old tabby who has had a hip replacement. Yup! But he’s doing great and totally mobile, so let’s focus on his regular cat attributes first. Injured hip or new hip, French Fry has a lot of energy and loves to run around, play fetch with his spring toy, and climb. He is the energizer bunny in cat form (lol). Before he got his hip replacement, he’d still run around, but he’d need to take breaks and rest, so he’d lay down for some recovery and cuddle time with his fosters before revving up again. Chilling with his fosters includes watching TV with them as well as enjoying lap time in a cozy blanket.
When French Fry was rescued, having been abandoned outside in Brooklyn, it was immediately clear he had a limp. One X-ray later, he was diagnosed with an old injury – a dislocated hip. Thankfully, French Fry was able to get a hip replacement and now he’s as good as new, and his new hip will last him a lifetime.
Given French Fry’s energy level, his ideal forever home will have a resident cat that can be his best buddy and playmate. He also has some single-kitten syndrome characteristics, namely he can be a little bite-y, so we know a feline friend will help curb that habit. Sound familiar? Maybe you have a cat or older kitten that you think would benefit from an energetic cat friend. If so, French Fry would be a great match. He’s a lovable boy whose also cute as a button. If you’re an experienced cat lover and are considering him as your one-and-only, then his perfect home is one where there’s lots of enrichment, including active play sessions with you a few times a day and cat trees and wall shelves where he can climb, jump, and have fun on his own.
French Fry is neutered, up-to-date on rabies and FVRCP vaccines, negative for FeLV and FIV, microchipped.

Our cats are almost all in foster homes. Upon approval of your application (including reference check), we will connect you with the foster parent(s) so that you can meet the kitty you're interested in. If it's a good fit, we'll do a home check for safety issues, and then process the paperwork so that you can officially adopt your new family member!

More about this rescue
We are a network of rescuers in Central Brooklyn (primarily in Bed Stuy, Ocean Hill, and Crown Heights) who help each other out. We do both TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) as well as the rescue and adoption of friendly cats and kittens that we find on the streets. We don't have a physical facility, so our cats are usually in foster homes, or staying with us in our own homes. Our goal is to find loving, permanent homes for all the cats we take off the street, and to make better lives for the ones we return there.
