Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is a Spirit Kitten awaiting a foster home to receive socialization. Are you looking for a bit of a project? What better way to spend the final winter months cozied up inside, gently socializing a spicy kitten?! We would provide the food, litter, medical needs, and supply you with a large dog crate, you just have to provide the endless patience and care to our fake-feral friends. Have we caught your interest? Read more below:
*What is a spirit kitten? Well you see, I`ve had little to no contact with people before coming to Lowell Humane and I`m extremely nervous and shy with new people and new environments. I know what you`re thinking `It`s a cute kitten, how scared can they be?`, but it will take me awhile to fully warm up to my people. Once I do though I promise I will be a loving companion for you. I may need a private space to start with, a small room without too many spaces to hide or my friends from the shelter will even loan you a roomy dog crate to help me through the adjustment period. I would likely do well in a home with other animals, but children can scare me as their quick movements and loud sounds frighten me, so speak to staff about whether or not your kids would be a good match. If you would like to learn more about me and other Spirit Kittens please ask the shelter staff about me!
Our shelter is open Tuesday-Sunday from 12-4 (closed Mondays). If you are interested in fostering this pet, please review our foster process at https://www.lowellhumanesociety.org/get-involved/#foster-care-program or email forms@lowellhumanesociety.org .

You must be 18 years or older to adopt an animal. A valid ID is required.
If you own your own home, please provide proof of home-ownership; a mortgage receipt, tax bill, water bill or deed will suffice.
If you rent, please bring your lease which states the type of pet you are interested in and that it is accepted or the name and phone of your landlord so we can verify the pet is allowed. Inquire with your landlord about any size or breed restrictions.
Please check with your home owner’s insurance company or landlord to find out if they have any restrictions on the breed(s) of dog they cover. Common breeds that may not be covered include: Pit Bulls, Doberman Pinschers, Rottweilers and German Shepherds.
For the health and safety of the pet you are interested in adopting and your existing pets, we ask that you provide proof of current vaccinations and spay/neuter status for pets in your home. (We may be able to call your veterinarian if you do not have a copy available.)
A new pet is a family decision and we ask that all members of your family meet the pet and agree on the suitability for your household.
If you already have a dog(s) in your home please bring the dog(s) with you to meet the dog you are considering to see if they are compatible.
Complete an adoption application and talk with a staff member for more information about the animal you are considering.
