Looking for a lap cat? Meet Morty!
Morty didn't have the easiest start — this sweet 2-year-old was found after spending 4 days crying from a tree before finally being rescued and brought into care. But from the moment he came down, he surprised everyone with how quickly he settled in. It's as if he always knew that people were worth trusting.
And trust he does! Morty is calm, affectionate, and genuinely loves human company. He's the kind of cat who'll find his way onto your lap before you've even sat down, and stay there as long as you'll let him. If you’ve always wanted a shoulder cat, that’s also Morty!
Morty is currently fostered with other cats and gets along just fine with them — but he doesn't need feline company to be happy. He's perfectly content as the sole focus of your attention, which makes him an ideal companion for a quieter household. He hasn't been tested with dogs, so a cat-only or dog-free home would be the safest fit.
He's healthy, loving, and ready for the next chapter. After 4 days stuck in a tree wondering if anyone would come, Morty has found his people — now he just needs to find his forever home. Morty is currently fostered in South Saint Paul.
